Designing a Modern Take on Natural Beauty
As Brand & Packaging Designer, I developed a visual identity and product system that speaks to a mature, refined consumer—someone who proudly displays Lovesong on their vanity. Entirely family-funded and independently operated, Lovesong positions itself as a warm, welcoming voice within the clean beauty space, merging classic luxury with modern care for the body and the Earth.
Without leaning into an overtly “eco” aesthetic, the brand explores the elegance of nature through soft hues, botanical motifs, and natural photography. The resulting design system feels timeless, inviting, and authentic—celebrating beauty as nature intended.
Many of these products are now carried by Anthropologie.
Design Approach
My approach centered on crafting a brand experience that feels effortless yet intentional. I began by exploring the emotional qualities of natural beauty—softness, balance, and authenticity—and translated them into a cohesive visual system. Every design decision, from typography and color to packaging structure, was guided by the idea of quiet luxury: refined enough to feel elevated, but grounded in honesty and simplicity.
